On Monday, April 17, 2017 I posted on Facebook regarding hope and breakthrough. It was something the Lord was speaking to me about while I was in prayer. I thought I would share it with you today because it's timely for so many people.
In 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 we read: "We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed."
If you're reading this, you might be feeling pressed on all sides, in despair and where is God right now in the midst of this situation. I can imagine that's how Job felt too when he lost everything. I'll be honest; I've been going through this for some time now myself. We are currently facing some impossible situations while it seems like the promises of God are like a vapor – there for a moment but then gone, which can easily cause you to be in despair. But, there is hope! There are two verses I want to share with you:
Job 11:19 - Having HOPE will give you courage. You will be protected and will rest in safety.
Psalms 147:11 - The Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their HOPE in his unfailing love.
I know my breakthrough is almost here and so is yours if you put your hope and trust in the Lord today. In fact, my prayer has been, Lord, thank you for my breakthrough that is starting today. It's already happening. As Daniel prayed and waited for his answer/breakthrough it was already on the way but was delayed for a time by the enemy. Your answer/breakthrough may be delayed – but its coming!
Remember, God will make a way but He usually likes to do it in His timing and in a way we didn't think or know about. Many of us have heard, read or know by heart, Psalms 91 but I want to finish by posting this portion of it from the Passion Translation:
Psalms 91:14-16 - For here is what the Lord has spoken to me: "Because you have delighted in me as my great lover, I will greatly protect you. I will set you in a high place, safe and secure before my face. I will answer your cry for help every time you pray, and you will find and feel my presence even in your time of pressure and trouble. I will be your glorious Hero and give you a feast! You will be satisfied with a full life and with all that I do for you. For you will enjoy the fullness of my salvation!"
Today I pray that God will answer your cry for help and show off His goodness and mercy to you in ways you've never experienced. Today, I declare to you that God's got this & He's got you too!
